Ensuring equity in libraries can be challenging, but technology has created ways to level the playing field. As soon as I discovered Virtual Reality and realized how it could be applied to so many lessons, I went to work and created five padlets to share with the teachers using 360cities. Since it is free, all the students were provided the opportunity to go on ‘virtual field trips’. 

 

With so much technology out there it is important for librarians to keep up with emerging trends. Luckily, I love exploring and am constantly reading technology journals and connecting with others in Professional Learning Communities. Librarians are collaborators by nature and love to share.
